How can one of the top "outdoors" cities also be the #1 Gamer city? Even more surprising, the average age of a gamer is 30! I'm pleased. With all the dudes out there running mountains during the day and plugging-in at night, the pickings should be good for a guy like me. :)

Dogfood and a bag of chips

That's the reason I walked into the Fred Meyer. Little did I realize that my casual stroll into the electronics department would cost me $500.

I saw the green box out of the corner of my eye and stared at it a little dumbfounded...surely, it must be a display box. An employee approached me and asked if he could help with anything. I pointed to the box and asked, "Is that real?"

He laughed - it was - and a few minutes later I walked out with the green box tucked under my arm. Yes, its a core system (I already hear John and Jayson saying something), but the hard drive is on its way, courtesy of Amazon.

Drunk Risk

As far as I know, Dave has hosted a game of Drunk Risk at his parent's house since high school. This year I was lucky enough to attend my first one, held once a year around Christmas and New Year. So much fun...about 15 of us made the long drive to Snohomish to Mr. and Mrs. Martin's farm, armed with sleeping bags and beer. Think of an adult slumber party and you have got the general idea of the atmosphere. Team "Seacrest" didn't fare so well, but we managed to get sixty shots in us and took out two players before our last soldier fell. Until next year!
