I had not seen my sister for nearly a year and a half when I invited her to come and stay with me for a bit in New York. Having recently turned 28, she was well into her career as a highschool teacher in Phoenix and a live in boyfriend. I sensed that there very well may not be another chance to just hang out by ourselves, brother and sister.
Her arrival to NY was beset by delays and long taxi waits. I hoped nervously that the start did not portend a poor week to follow. However, I was pleasantly surprised. She arrived, we hugged, and it was the start to a memorable week that would include your typical NYC visiting itinerary (shopping, yankee game, central park, celebrity sightings, etc). Most memorable though was camping out with a tub of ice cream, watching movies, just like growing up. Miss ya sis!
