Jayson is participating in a fund raiser for Youth In Focus, a Seattle program that teaches kids photography. He asked me for a flat donation...but this is a bowlathon. Whatever happened to paying by pin?
Needless to say, in today's incentive laden sports contracts, a simple pay per pin plan would not work. With that being said, here is my bowlathon contract for Jayson:
Bowlathon agreement for Saturday, October 24, 2009 between Jayson McIvor and Jacob Rhoades, whereby:
Jacob agrees to donate an amount of $.10 per pin struck in a three hour period by Jayson McIvor. Photographic proof of the final score is required.
The final amount pledged can vary based on the athlete meeting the below incentive clauses:
1. If Jayson scores over 100 in each game and bowls a min of three games, the amount pledged will increase to $.20 per pin. Completion of the third game is not necessary.
2. If Jayson scores over 200 points in any of the three games, a $20 performance bonus will be awarded.
3. In the event of a "turkey" (defined as three strikes in three consecutive frames) bowled by Jayson McIvor, an amount equal to the average weight of the ball rolled multiplied by the state of Georgia Final Weighted Average Price for Skinless Boneless Breast posted for Monday, Oct 25 2009 will be awarded. The price listing can be found at: http://agr.georgia.gov/00/article/0,2086,38902732_39653527_41210372,00.html
4. "The Seventh Inning Stretch" Clause, whereby during the seventh frame of any game, $10 will be awarded whenever a left handed strike is bowled by Jayson McIvor. This event must be filmed.
This agreement is drawn up in good faith and will be considered void pending any unsportsman like conduct, deception, or manipulation, as deemed by the client, Jacob Rhoades.
