Its one of those days here in NY where I look out the window and see fog and gray skies. I think its karma's way of laying the proverbial bitch slap down on NY and announcing that yes, this is the half-year for the Mariners.
Our pitching hasn't improved and its not like we had a great offseason. However, I do predict a great first half effort by contract-year Ichiro, playing the best he possibly can (even reaching Tiger-Woods level dominance) before being traded away at mid-season. Based on Ichiro alone, I say we finish the first half in first place. Based on the Mariners management, we end the season in last after we trade him for some cash and Ugueth Urbina.

Enjoy watching Ichiro try to not hit the ball out of the infield, “King Felix” not living up to his stupid nickname, “DH” Jose Vidro hitting .230, Richie Sexson try to strike out 200 times, Andrian Beltre get paid to hit 40 home runs and only hit 20 and Willie Bloomquist. I’ll be busy not eating salmon and watching a good ballteam. The Mariners suck and you probably do too.
