With the Enchantments hike looming only weeks from now, Jayson, Jessica, and I decided we needed to get our proverbial buns in gear and start eating some elevation. After a recomendation from John, we tackled Bandera Mountain. I did a little research and the elevation gain is 3040 feet, with 1800 feet coming in the last mile and a half. After the hike was done with, I thought I made it out pretty decently, but oh the morning. Its not my legs that are sore, but the muscles connecting my legs to my lower torso (i.e., my crotch) are pretty sore and stiff. I'm thinking because of the final push up Bandera - where your legs have to bend more than 90 degrees to make it up.
